Nelson | Wright is an award winning Architecture, Interior Design and Development studio based in London. We specialise in residential architecture and we also develop our own designs; from bespoke house extensions and refurbishments, to contemporary new build homes and multi-unit developments. We try to be our own clients where possible as this allows us to rethink the typical priorities of standard housebuilders, as well as informing our work on private commissions for others. We design buildings that are sustainable, contextual and tectonic, with a love for tactile materials and crafted details. We have over 10 years experience in both large and small scale projects across various sectors and apply a big practice mindset with the energy and human approach of a new practice.

Chelsea Nelson
Co-founder, BA(Hons)
Chelsea studied Interior Design in London at The Cass School of Art. After graduating, Chelsea gained experience with award-winning Interior Designers Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, before going on to lead design at Soho House and is currently Creative Director at Thurstan. Chelsea was responsible for the designs of high-profile Soho House projects including Istanbul, Barcelona and Greek Street, London. Chelsea’s love of historical details and antiques influences her contemporary design approach with a distinctive style. Her background in hospitality and residential design gives her an understanding of the importance of comfort as well as practicality.
Alex Wright
Co-founder, BA(Hons), MSc, PGDip, ARB
Alex studied Architecture at the Manchester School of Architecture and the Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland, before completing his qualifications at the University of Cambridge. Alex is a housing specialist and has worked for various design-led offices in London, gaining experience leading large-scale, mixed use residential developments as well as smaller crafted residential projects. His focus is on applying his Architectural background on thoughtful design and quality craftsmanship to create beautiful, generous and healthy places to live.
